Kovittala participated in everything with great zest and zeal, often risking his reputation. Having the home minister as local guardian did not take away the innocence of this optimist who lived through a receding percentile as he walked from the class room to the mess, after each exam. Kozhi’s school spirit recently saved the campus from land-sharks. Shyamala has failed to mature him and Nimisha and Ishu are fortunate to have our eternal optimist for a dad.
