Eldest of the Vitekar clan, Madhuri came into our midst like a %/for ka Pankh’, our very first Hindi lesson at school. She would have won it, if there was a prize for the best-turned out cadet. Madhuri won some prizes and broke her own tooth, enjoying her `day-scholar’ status. The Micro-biologist lecturer is in Latur with kids Apoory and Amey; and husband Mahendra the engineer lecturer is in Pune.
